💼 Job Description / Key Responsibilities

As Officer Compliance Review at Meezan Bank, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

• ✔ Assisting the Manager Compliance Review in conducting compliance reviews to evaluate adherence to SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) regulations and internal policies
• ✔ Conducting credit risk reviews of financing portfolios  Corporate, Commercial, SME, and Consumer  in accordance with prudential regulations
• ✔ Performing basic substantive and analytical procedures to identify potential compliance gaps
• ✔ Evaluating internal controls and recommending improvements for compliance processes
• ✔ Ensuring all banking activities align with Shariah principles and regulatory requirements
• ✔ Preparing compliance review reports and presenting findings to management
• ✔ Supporting the Compliance Department in maintaining regulatory standards set by SBP

 

🎓 Required Qualification

Qualification	Details

Master's Degree	From a reputable recognized university
Islamic Finance	Qualification in Islamic Finance is an added advantage

 

✅ Experience Requirements

• ✔ Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in:
• Internal Controls / Internal Audit
• Compliance function within the banking sector
• Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm experience
• ✔ Experience in banking, financial services, or regulatory compliance is highly preferred
• ✔ Strong understanding of SBP regulations and prudential regulations
• ✔ Knowledge of credit risk, SME, Corporate and Consumer financing portfolios
• ✔ Fresh graduates are NOT eligible  this is an experienced professional role
